Engineering by Design was developed by teachers from all areas of the BHS Science Department in collaboration with the Tufts University School of Engineering. Together, they created a curriculum challenging students to identify problems, design, build, and test their solutions.
In my first two years of high school I was at the national-award winning First Robotics team Nutrons at Northeastern University. As a mechanical team member, I worked with other high school and university student mentors and built robots for regional and national STEM Robotics competitions.
I spent the freshman and sophomore summers taking hands-on studios at NuVu, The Cambridge School for Innovation. I took studios in creative engineering, innovation, and entrepreneurship, for example: Flying Bots, Wearable Technology, and Social Robots.
